Dr. Christina Nicole Giannikas – Applied Linguistics Specialist, CALL Expert, and Teacher Educator
Dr. Christina Nicole Giannikas is a distinguished expert in Applied Linguistics, specializing in early language learning, Computer-Assisted Language Learning (CALL), digital pedagogies, and teacher education. With an extensive background in higher education and teacher training, she has made significant contributions to the fields of language acquisition, technology-enhanced learning, and digital literacy.
As the founder and consultant at CG Education & Research Consultancy, Dr. Giannikas provides professional development, training, and research consultancy to educational institutions and educators worldwide. Her approach is evidence-based, combining qualitative and quantitative research to deliver impactful strategies for language learning and digital integration in education.
Dr. Giannikas holds a PhD in Applied Linguistics, along with a BA in English Language, an MA in Teaching English as a Foreign Language, and additional certifications in Creative Writing and Teaching English to Adults. She currently lectures at the Language Centre of the Cyprus University of Technology and the Department of English Studies at the University of Cyprus, where she teaches modules such as:

For the past six years, Dr. Giannikas has served as the Chair of the EuroCALL Teacher Education Special Interest Group (SIG), demonstrating her leadership in the field of CALL and her commitment to advancing teacher training on a global scale. Additionally, she is the appointed EuroCALL National Contact for Greece, facilitating collaboration and professional development within the European language teaching community.
